iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ex China ETF (EMXC) is a passively managed exchange-traded fund designed to track the MSCI Emerging Markets ex China Index. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in stocks that comprise the index, which includes large- and mid-capitalization companies across 26 emerging market countries, excluding China. The index uses a free float-adjusted market capitalization weighting methodology. The remaining portion of the fund may be allocated to derivatives such as futures, options, and swap contracts, as well as cash and cash equivalents, to optimize portfolio management and efficiency.
