The iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 Value ETF is an exchange-traded fund designed to track the performance of mid-capitalization value stocks in the U.S. equity market. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the securities that comprise its underlying index, along with investments that share substantially identical economic characteristics. The remaining allocation of up to 20% may be deployed in derivatives such as futures, options, and swap contracts, as well as cash and cash equivalents, to optimize portfolio management and liquidity.
