iShares Russell 1000 ETF is a passively managed exchange-traded fund that aims to track the performance of the Russell 1000 Index, which comprises the largest 1,000 U.S. publicly traded companies. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets directly in the component securities of the Russell 1000 Index or in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics. The remaining portion of the fund's assets, up to 20%, may be allocated to futures contracts, options, swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents to optimize portfolio management and liquidity.
