Fortis Inc. is an electric and gas utility company founded in 1885 and headquartered in St. John's, serving approximately 3.2 million customers across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. The company generates, transmits, and distributes electricity through operations in Arizona, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Ontario, and the Caribbean islands, supported by a diverse generation portfolio including hydroelectric, gas-fired, solar, and wind facilities totaling over 3,900 MW of capacity.
