iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF (GOVT) is an exchange-traded fund that tracks a broad index of U.S. Treasury securities. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in component securities of its underlying index, with a minimum of 90% allocated to U.S. Treasury securities selected to replicate index performance. The underlying index comprises publicly-issued U.S. Treasury securities with maturities exceeding one year but not exceeding thirty years, and with at least $300 million in outstanding face value. This fund provides investors with diversified exposure to the U.S. Treasury market across a range of maturity periods.
