iShares Core 1-5 Year USD Bond ETF is a passively managed fund that seeks to track the performance of short-term US dollar-denominated fixed income securities. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of its underlying index and Treasury Bill Agreements (TBA) with substantially identical economic characteristics, while maintaining at least 90% allocation to fixed income securities included in the index. By focusing on bonds with maturities between one and five years, the fund provides investors with exposure to the intermediate-term US bond market with lower duration risk compared to longer-dated bond portfolios.
