The investment seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance of publicly traded common stocks, as represented by the Standard & Poor's 500® Index (S&P 500 Index). The fund employs a “passive” management approach, investing in a portfolio of assets whose performance the subadviser expects to match approximately the performance of the index. It invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of companies included in the index.
