Vanguard Extended Duration Treasury ETF (EDV) is an index-tracking fund that seeks to replicate the performance of the Bloomberg U.S. Treasury STRIPS 20-30 Year Equal Par Bond Index. The fund primarily invests in zero-coupon U.S. Treasury securities with maturities between 20 and 30 years, which are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government. Using a sampling methodology, the fund maintains at least 80% of its assets in Treasury securities included in the underlying index, providing investors with exposure to long-duration U.S. government debt instruments.
