NiSource Inc. is a regulated energy holding company headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana, operating as a natural gas and electric utility across the United States. The company's Gas Distribution Operations serve approximately 2.4 million residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, and northern Indiana through roughly 54,600 miles of distribution pipelines and 1,000 miles of transmission pipelines. Through its Electric Operations segment, NiSource generates, transmits, and distributes electricity to approximately 483,000 customers in 20 northern Indiana counties, operating a diverse generation portfolio including coal-fired, natural gas, combined cycle gas turbine, hydro, and wind facilities with a combined capacity of approximately 1,808 megawatts.
