Vanguard Energy ETF is an index-tracking fund that seeks to replicate the performance of the MSCI US Investable Market Index (IMI)/Energy 25/50. The fund invests substantially all of its assets in a broad range of large, mid-size, and small U.S. energy sector companies, classified according to the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS). By holding stocks in approximately the same proportions as their weightings in the underlying index, the fund provides investors with exposure to the energy sector across multiple market capitalizations. As a non-diversified fund, its portfolio concentration may expose investors to higher risk relative to more diversified alternatives.
